The General Oilfield Driver Improvement training course is intended for upstream petroleum industry (UPI) workers who drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of greater than 5,500 kilograms.  For those workers engaged in oilfield trucking in British Columbia, this course is a regulatory requirement. UPI workers who drive oilfield vehicles with a GVW less than 5,500 kilograms may benefit more from the Light-Duty Vehicles - Driver Improvement training course.
