Founder and President - David Phibbs

David is an accomplished national and international businessman, with over 14 years experience as a paramedic and first aid instructor, as well as having worked in the Oil & Gas Sector in Northern BC, Alberta and the Arctic. David’s strong ethical values and life experiences have laid a solid foundation for Alpha Safety, which is known as a company that delivers quality service, that puts relationships with employees and clients first.

Committed to developing relationships with and working alongside the First Nations People is reflected in the strong connection Alpha Safety has developed with the local Native Community, both through training and employment.

David’s passion is to serve – both in business and to those less fortunate. He has incorporated this passion into the company by mandating strong financial and practical initiatives both locally and overseas that support everything from addictions recovery to orphanages to third world volunteer medics.

David personally travels to many places world wide every year to over see the implementation and application of these ventures.

Executive Vice President - Judy Phibbs

Judy is the co-founder of Alpha Safety along with Company President David Phibbs, and has been involved in many aspects of the company from the ground up. Her care and attention in dealing with office staff, instructors and students over the years has been integral in establishing the friendly and professional atmosphere that Alpha’s training agency enjoys today.

Judy also teams up with David on many of his national and international business/charity ventures.

OHS & E Manager- Terry Curtin

Terry Curtin, is not only one of Alpha Safety's instructors but is also skilled at authoring, implementing and monitoring Safety Programs, performing OHS&E COR Audits for ENFORM and coordinating large OHS&E projects. Terry works closely with Alpha Safety's Office and drawing on his many years of expertise has allowed Alpha to set the standard for safety in the industry.

Human Resources Manager and OHS&E Officer- Sarah Conkin

Sarah was key to initiating and developing the Human Resources office within Alpha Safety. As the initial contact for prospective employees, she leads the way in cutting edge recruiting and retention practices. As Alpha’s HR representative, Sarah stays involved with the local business community and contributes through involvement with various non profit societies and initiatives.

As Alpha Safety’s OHS&E Officer, Sarah is responsible for keeping the company up to date on all safety policies and procedures and ensuring that Alpha Safety complies with all COR (Certificate Of Recognition) requirements.

Administrative Staff

Alpha Safety’s administrative team is friendly, professional and always ready to serve the needs of clients.

Instructors

Alpha Safety’s family of instructors are the best in their business, and have been carefully chosen not only for their teaching abilities, but also for practical experience in their fields of instruction. This provides students with unique learning opportunities, as our instructors combine excellent course material with their own personal experience.

Medics

Alpha Safety’s team of medics include many experienced Level Three Attendants, as well as ALS Paramedics. We have an excellent orientation program for new medics which includes On the Job Training, and oil patch driving and navigating experience.

H2S Safety Supervisors

Alpha Safety’s H2S Safety Supervisors are experienced air hands and combine excellent leadership skills with a strong team player attitude. New H2S Safety Supervisors are mentored and closely supervised through a comprehensive orientation/training process, that provides instruction and hands on experience through our On the Job Training Program.

Dispatchers

Alpha Safety’s Dispatchers are all experienced in their field, and are available 24 hrs./day, 7 days a week to clients and employees under their supervision. The Dispatchers strongly support their employees in the field and work hard to satisfy their clients.
